Tennessee Appalachian Center for Higher Education at SouthEast Educational, Inc. (TnACHE-SEED)

The Tennessee Appalachian Center for Higher Education (TnACHE), supported in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission, is a successful educational program that raises awareness and promotes activities that encourage Tennessee Appalachian students to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. This is accomplished through low-cost, high-impact competitive grants and site-based technical support to middle and high schools. Because TnACHE is not affiliated with any specific educational entity, the program focuses on access to multiple post-secondary educational opportunities including career and technical schools as well as two and four-year colleges and universities.

TnACHE recently received Appalachian Regional Commission funding to implement a Principal Leadership component beginning in the fall of 2009.

Maryville College: East Tennessee Math Science Partnership (ETnMSP)
SouthEast Educational, Inc. has partnered with Maryville College, Pellissippi State Technical Community College, and four school systems to build local capacity for Tennessee-specific data-analysis and to deliver data-driven, needs-based content institutes for mathematics and science teachers of grades 8-10.
